Georgina to be new market for RMG products
President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Siddiqur Rahman on Monday expressed the hope to explore a new market for Bangladeshi RMG products in Georgia, Independent reported.
“We hope to explore a new market for garment products in Georgia as it’s an important country in the Europe,” the report quoted the BGMEA president as saying.
Global unions call for more brands to sign new Accord by Oct 5
Global labour rights groups have recently called on global fashion brands and retailers to sign the new 2018 Accord by October 5, in time for the World Day for Decent Work on October 7, New Age reported.
The 2018 Bangladesh Accord on fire and building safety was announced by the global unions and brand representatives at the OECD in Paris in the month of June this year, the report added.
