Some news highlights relevant to RMG sector:

• Shipment Cost in Hartal: A BIDS research found, the transportation cost for a standardised container shipment of RMG products is US dollar 390 during hartal compared to US dollar 231 in normal days.
• Import Increase in 3^rd Quarter: In last quarter overall import has increased by 14.75 per cent due to higher import of textile, leather, jute, garment, pharmaceutical, ship building, and energy and power sectors, as per Bangladesh Bank (BB).
