CPD RMG Study Stitching a better future for Bangladesh

Some news highlights relevant to RMG sector:
- Most Business Identification Number (BIN) –holders do not submit VAT return in Bangladesh. Approximately 40 thousand VAT returns are submitted annually while there are eight hundred and forty thousand BIN –holders are registered. A joint initiative by Income Tax and VAT wings are coordinating a drive to identify these anomalies.
- World Bank cites two reasons i.e. internal security and sluggish demand for reducing projection of Bangladesh’s economic growth to 6.8 per cent.
