Bangladesh’s brand value rising

According to the ‘Nation Brands 2017’, released in October, Bangladesh is now 44th most valuable nation brand in the world. The report produced by London-based Brand Finance, showed that the nation brand value of the country has reached $208 billion in the current year, which was worth $170 billion in 2016, increasing by 22 per cent within a year. The report also showed that the nation brand value of Bangladesh is much higher than that of Pakistan, which celebrated 70 years of its independence this year.

Bangladesh Fashionology Summit to begin in February

Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) will organize the first ever Bangladesh Fashionology Summit in Dhaka on February next year. The event aims to bridge the gap between the present and the future of the textile and fashion industry. International brands, garment makers, technology and innovation companies, fabrics producers, software service providers will participate in the summit. The event will host knowledge sharing sessions from some of the brightest minds and most inspired thinkers from across the globe and cover a wide range of compelling topics that are relevant to shaping the future of the garment industry.

Bangladesh seeks UAE investment in Economic Zones

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina invited the entrepreneurs of the United Arab Emirates (UEA) to invest in Bangladesh’s Economic Zones for the mutual benefits of the two countries. She came up with the invitation when the UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Saeed Bin Hajar Al Shehi met her at her official residence Ganobhaban. She promised to provide necessary lands to the UAE businessmen so that they could develop industries according to their demand and desires. the Prime Minister also requested the UAE government for signing an MoU on visa exemption for the diplomatic and official passport holders to further enhance government-to-government cooperation.
