Some news highlights relevant to RMG sector:

• National Export Awards 2013-14: Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina awarded following nine companies in apparels sector the national export awards on gold category for fiscal year 2013-14: Zaber and Zobaer Fabrics, AKM Knitwear, GMS Composite Knitting Industry, Kamal Yarn, Paramount Textile, Noman Terry Towel, Picard Bangladesh, Universal Jeans and Shasha Denims.
• Paramount Textile – Zero Coupon Bond: IDLC Finance signed a term sheet with Paramount Textile for acting as the lead arranger for issuance of Tk 50 crore non-convertible zero coupon bond for the company.
• Corporate Tax Payment July-Oct: For the fiscal year 2016-17 there has been an increase in tax payment under the Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) of the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
