Cotton Day celebrated in Bangladesh

On Wednesday, November 8, Cotton Day was observed for the second time in Bangladesh with a seminar and a fashion show organized by Cotton USA. A delegation from Cotton USA and Cotton Council International was introduced to Bangladesh textile and apparel industry through the US and Global Cotton Outlook seminar, where they met Bangladeshi industry leaders. The local textile and garments entrepreneurs participated in the seminar on special trade of cotton.

Bangladesh wants duty-free access to Singapore market

Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed urged for duty-free facility in export to Singapore, in a meeting with Singapore’s non-resident High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Chan Heng Wing. The bilateral relations between the countries will be strengthened if the country indeed offers duty-free market access to Bangladesh. The Commerce Minister also invited the Singaporean entrepreneurs to invest in the Economic Zones of Bangladesh.
